Harvest Gold Provides Drilling Update from the Cerro Cascaron Gold and Silver Project in Mexico

See the press release here.  President Rick Mark sent a note to shareholders to say:

Today’s press release (below) is to update the market on our drilling at Cascarita. The program got off to a slow start due to suddenly muddy conditions around the drill site, but is now back on track.

I included a paragraph titled Sampling, Assaying and Quality Control to outline the specific tasks involved in getting drill results back to us, so that some not familiar with the process can better understand the time lag between drilling and reporting results.

Further to that point, I have had several shareholders ask “when can we expect results” ? Here is the note I sent to each of them.

I cannot be offering “news” on an individual shareholder request basis, as I’m sure you understand. The present plan is for about 3,000 metres of drilling; daily meterage will vary. There are several factors at play with frequency of reporting on drill results, so I always let people know that it is impossible to say at the outset. The geologists have a big say, too, so I need to be careful in committing to a firm timeline. We do expect to be drilling into December and there is always a lag between drilling, preparing the core and getting it to the lab for analysis…. and, then reporting out.

So, the great news is we are well funded and, as promised, are now drilling high grade silver and gold targets in a prolific mining belt in a mining friendly jurisdiction. Discovery drilling is underway.
